Wow, my last post was just about a year and three months ago. Somehow, I'm back into this, catching the urge to write and share a little bit about my life in California. Since my last post I moved to Seattle (last summer). Had an amazing time racing, traveling and experiencing the PNW with some fantastic people. I wish that I would have written a little bit more about it in this blog, since there are so many things that I want to remember and many that I know I've already forgotten. Graduated from college, roadtripped through the Midwest, SW, to Cali and then to Oregon. Had an epic Colorado and North Carolina experience with friends and family and bought yet another one way ticket out to the West Coast. This time, the Golden state called me.
Sometimes I think that I'm crazy doing these spontaneous things... randomly buying plane flights to beautiful parts of the country. But alas, the urge can't be resisted. After being here for three months, I finally feel at home. Settled now for a time in Corralitos, I've become accustomed to the apple orchards and the blooming trees, the ocean, regular yoga classes and sunshine. While some say that this weather and gorgeousness gets old, I haven't hit that point quite yet and hope that I don't anytime soon.
Today was majorly excellent. A storm swell blew in and the waves out at 38th and Capitola were rolling in with overhead. Unfortunately, I didn't take this opportunity to dive in with the fishes (Sabine, Matt and Sarah) but look forward to brushing up on my surf skills and catching some massive waves this winter.
Maybe I'll even decide to regularly update this blog. More to come!
