I don't know where it came from - but to me it looks like a mother wearing a top hat, holding a raggity anne doll smashed together a la robert motherwell...

looks like your getting some good studio time in! The painting to me looks like some sorta virgin mary and baby jesus type thing going on... maybe thats just my catholic upbringing talking! swimming is annoying with the whole not breathing thing! I always feel like im going to drown!
